"...much more than a play - it's a movement!

OUR MISSION

The Trauma Brain Project is a creative means of educating, enlightening and opening the door to a broader conversation about the relationship between early trauma and sexual abuse, PTSD and its hidden effects on women and girls. Through the use of a theatrical narrative, we seek to speak out, to inform, and to raise awareness; to give voice to an often silenced community whose stories are buried within our bodies, and to make an informed appeal to the medical community to recognize our symptoms, to “listen to our bodies... even when we cannot speak.”

"...a cathartic program that needs to become part of the conversation,
not only in healthcare, but in society as a whole.
"
                                                                     (Ann Marie Collier, M.D.)

Ultimately, our aim — for both medical and lay audiences — is to offer the hope that body centered therapy can represent for the releasing and healing of trauma, and to create a safe space for others to begin their own paths to healing.

“…I've learned so much in one night about a topic that needs attention.”
